Nesta segunda-feira (12) acontece a 74ª edição do Emmy Awards, no Microsoft Theater, em Los Angeles. Após dois anos restritos devido a pandemia, o evento, neste ano, ocorre de forma presencial. A cerimônia de premiação para os principais nomes de produções de comédia, drama, filmes para TV e minisséries em 2022 começa às 20h no horário local, com transmissão ao vivo na NBC. No Brasil, a TNT transmite às 20h30.
Com a tradição de ser apresentado por um comediante, Kenan Thompson, veterano do Saturday Night Live e estreante no Emmy, é o apresentador nesta edição. Em 2021, Cedric the Entertainer fez esse papel no evento.
